Ferrino partner of the Milano Montagna Festival 2024
On Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October, Milan will once again breathe in the air of the peaks, also thanks to the participation of Ferrino, promoter of some of the most eagerly awaited events of the Milano Montagna Festival 2024.
The historic festival that, since 2014, has been calling together the enthusiasts and curious of the highlands, will in fact return this year to the Lombard capital, at the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation in Via Pasubio 5, with a new edition organised by the association IDA Idee Dall'Alto and dedicated to the theme ‘Mountain Time’.
‘The mountain lives according to its rhythms, its seasons, its conditions,’ write the organisers, ’A time dictated by spaces and relationships. A time sometimes understood, sometimes challenged, sometimes interrupted by human beings. The festival will be an opportunity to understand what we have learnt from the past and what we are now planning for the future. The programme is rich in viewpoints, with a special focus on environmental issues’.
As a partner of the event, Ferrino wanted to make its own contribution, enriching the already packed programme of the two-day Milanese event with a series of truly unmissable appointments.
It begins on Sunday 27th with an initiative in perfect harmony with the focus that the festival dedicates to sustainability and respect for the environment. During the day, two Ferrino model-makers will be at the public's disposal for an upcycling workshop aimed at transforming old used tents into new and useful objects such as rucksack covers, cases, bags and picnic blankets.
At 7.30 p.m. it will be time for the world premiere of the film ‘Transcardus’, which recounts the beautiful exploratory adventure experienced last winter by Ferrino ambassador Enrico Mosetti together with Elisa Bessega, Lorenzo Barutta and Matteo Sarto, who undertook the first ski-mountaineering crossing of the Cardus massif in the Balkans.
This will be followed - starting at 8.30 p.m. - by one of the most eagerly awaited encounters of the entire festival, the conference by Alex Txikon, also a historic Ferrino ambassador, as well as an outstanding figure in contemporary himalaysm and the first winter climbs on the highest peaks of the planet.
